CAMERON STATION
Cameron Station is an award-winning modern version of a pedestrian-friendly 18th or 19th Century American town in scenic Alexandria, Virginia. The 150-acre former military installation site has been developed for 2,500 new homes, while 50 acres were returned to the City of Alexandria for a new park. At 28 units per acre, the high-density community preserves plenty of public space by applying sound principles of New Urbanism during the early planning stage. Lessard worked with several builders, each owning a parcel of the property, to create diverse neighborhoods. Each home, retail center, and park presents its own individual style, and character, while maintaining the historic feel of the development.
