President and CEO, Chris Lessard presented at this year’s NAHB IBS International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida. The International Builders Show hosted 80,000 building industry professionals from around the world. Chris presented in two building knowledge sessions during the industry.
“One Size Does Not Fit All: Designing for Multi-Generational Clients” – Presenters, John Guilliams (KGA Studio Architects), Lita Dirks (Lita Dirks and Co.) and Chris Lessard provided attendees with a thorough overview of designing homes for multigenerational families. They provided practical insights, data, tools, and examples of how the housing industry can design homes to meet the increasingly diverse buyer pool that wants homes to accommodate their multigenerational families.
“Floor Plan Trends: Are Micro-Units Here to Stay?” – Mark Simpson (RCLCO) and Chris Lessard provided session attendees with insights on how designers and developers are responding to changing demographic shifts that impact unit design, mix and program. They provided an in-depth study of urban and suburban marketplace shifts. Attendees obtained practical data and examples of floor plan trends.
